Description
After stepping off the ferry in Spetses and taking your first glimpse of the Greek Island, there is one building that catches your eye; the impressive Poseidonion Grand Hotel. As you would expect from a 5 star luxury hotel, a buggy and driver is waiting to escort you to the hotel.
The Poseidonion stands a mere few metres away from the water front, with the square and Bouboulina’s statue directly outside. To the right is the port (a few minutes walk) and the centre of Dapia. To the left a gentle stroll will take you away from the hustle and bustle and you’ll find little beaches and bays for an early morning swim before breakfast.
The impressive entrance to the hotel and lobby is reminiscent of days gone by. Retaining its character of high ceilings throughout, the staff are both friendly and knowledgeable.
Pools and Idolo Spa
At the rear of the hotel is a large pool surrounded by lush gardens creating privacy, and sunbathing terraces. A few steps away to the side of the hotel, is the members only Idolo spa area with another, smaller pool and sunbeds. The spa provides a range of treatments, facials and massages to relax the muscles and smooth away the pressures of daily life. Or why not pamper yourself in the hair and beauty salon.
Food and Drink
The Poseidonion Grand Hotel boasts a number of dining areas both inside and out. To the front of the property overlooking the square and with panoramic sea and mainland views, is a terrace for dining or just relaxing with a coffee and a book.
A sumptuous al a carte breakfast is served on the terrace, or for late risers breakfast is still served in the Library Brasserie.
To the side of the hotel and also with sea views, is the more lively bar area. As the sun sets, partake in a pre-dinner cocktail or two prior to either dining at the hotel, or venturing further afield.
